Irreplaceable

To the left. To the left.

That goes the introduction of one of Beyonce hits, which was introduced to us by Daizuke, though indirectly, from his “divalicious” playlist in the office. Those lines, I think, is more famous than the title itself. Funny it is, some people are only caught by those lines (a case which happens to any song, especially when the title is not found in the lyrics — say, Simple Plan’s “Untitled”).

This song was featured on Studio 23’s Break the Bank as one of the questions. The given clue was IRRE______ABLE; the song was also played on the background and more clues were given by the game show host, Mo Twister. I thought it was one of the easiest question for everybody, but I was so damn wrong. Contestants answers were IRRESISTABLE and IRRESEPARABLE. How could they missed the chance for a hundred thousand pesosesoses and tickets for Beyonce’s concert! (I bet *magningning* si Daizuke for those tickets ;)) I also heard someone in the background said, “To the left”. Dang! I left the channel without knowing if somebody had figured out the title. :P

Movie Recap of the Week

No Reservations♣ Last Wednesday, me and my colleagues planned to watch Apat Dapat but we end up watching No Reservations - a story of two chefs cooking their love recipe. Nice team up, lame story.

♦ Yesterday was a holiday in observance of the end of Ramadan. A friend invited me for dinner and sleep over. We rented cd’s and she chose two suspense films, The Messengers and Saw III.

The MessengerThe Messengers is a story of “paranormal phenomena” resulting to the discovery of a murder mystery of the last occupants of the house where “the messenger” moved in. I just hated it when I easily predicted every scenes — the only thing that was horrifying with the movie.

Saw IIIGoosebumps did not easily get me during the first horror movie, but I was so engrossed with the second, Saw III. This one made me cower and gave me chill down my spine. The story, as well as the game created by the sadist Jigsaw and his puppet, was intriguing. But that did not make me stick to go on with the movie because I just could not bear the sight of deformed body being tortured to pieces. My friend and I ended the night to sleep in her room, but I insisted, I went home in spite of her protests to keep me in.

I think the two horror films triggered my hyperacidity that night I went home.

♥ Tonight, after days of planning with my friends/workmates, we finally made it to laugh our hearts out. The four of us made it a perfect time to watch “Apat Dapat, Dapat Apat: Friends 4 lyf and death“, a very hilarious, funny and corny comedy… hahaha!!!
