December 1…
♣ 23 days to Christmas
♣ Saturday off (work)
♣ Company Sportsfest Culminating Activity.
I was so isolated with my friend in the crowd. Just-to-please-her kept me from staying in the audience, as if I am catering to a VIP. No, she is not that important, really. It’s just that she was formerly bugged about our group date weeks ago, so I have to be super nice that day.
Because of that, I missed half of my life that time, I think.

I could have gone wild with some other company in front of the camera shutter. And cheer with the drummer who won with their rendition of London Bridge and Beautiful Girls. And lastly, I could have climbed up the stage with my colleagues to accept the first prize trophy of the cheerdance competition. Yes, we won, after those enduring walks to the bakery, just to have the snacks for the dancers.

Instead, we just sit there until the show ended and the night started. I know she was a little pissed afterwards because our other friend did not return. We all had a plan to go out that night.
♣ Next Stop: Yellowcab, Mango
We parted ways because I was invited for a pizza party. The two of us could have dinner at Da Vinci’s, but she insisted I should celebrate with my colleagues. No matter how I demanded that I choose her company that night…
♣ Next Stop: Barkada Gimik Karaoke
After the pizza blast, I joined my colleagues to sing with them for two hours. Well, I didn’t really sing. No beer. No sing. Hahaha! I was starting to feel bored…
♣ Next Stop: The Outpost, Lahug
After that karaoke, I sneaked out from the clique and joined my other friends/workmates/teammates, who were still drinking since we first arrived at the bar. After a couple of bottles, we headed to The Outpost, where our friend, who joined the band competition earlier, had a scheduled gig.
♣ Next Stop: Paseo
After another set of beer at The Outpost, we headed to Kasadja, to possibly celebrate our anniversary with Grace, Juneil and Annie Rose (who failed to join us that night, because she had sore eyes. Kalooy!). But the place was deserted… We just went to paseo and there, another set of beer, and we partied until dawn. Until we were tired and hungry at around 4am.
♣ Last Stop: Carbon Market
Our stomachs then craved for soup. The trip to the market had been so different and, for me, the highlight of the night (dawn naman pud diay). It was my first time to stroll there actually, though I got the chance to pass that area oftentimes before.
We had puto maya and sikwate (hot chocolate). It’s morning already and the rain started to pour, the closure of our show curtains.
Mangukay pa unta mi ato…
