I was infatuated by the iPhone on display at the Globe Business Center the moment I navigated its Safari web browser. I never got the chance (or even dared) to even touch that priceless, precious thing before because I know I could not afford one.

Browsing the internet via the Safari web browser was very nice and easy. Touch navigation was never a fuss. The images and texts were as crisp as that of the full PC web experience. I just love how the websites appear!

I know that touch thing is nothing new already, but that experience has been an eye opener for me to consider buying wishing an Apple product. An iTouch music player will do.

Until now, I am still intrigued by your persistence to pop in my mailbox, though sometimes, I labeled you as spam when my email filter failed to do so. I know I would oftentimes leave you unopened to carry dust in my mailbox since majority of my limited time is devoted to deleting most of the mails containing the same small amount of meat at the end of the long list of CC’s and email addresses of the former recipients. In one way or another, too, I got a chance to accidentally click on your link, and viola, out of curiosity, my eyes wander to read through succeeding contents. I admit I am easily entertained by some shallow random whatnots, but when I got the chance to see the clock, I realized how much time I spent before hitting off to bed.

At first, you were okey. But then at some point, your thoughtfulness has got me irritated. I think you are a god born when the letter and writing were first conceptualized. You got so many messengers of the good news (and the bad influence, too) you manifest. Ahm no, you’re not a god, I now realize, but rather a virus that is easily spread without human contact.

I have a favor: Pls. do not include my email address in your chain letters. Or if you insist, just put me on BCC. I just don’t want my address being circulated around the net until a spammer catches me.

Lastly, sorry for this email I am sending you. This is also a chain letter.

God knows you are not busy these days.

But what are all these dirty clothes everywhere your room? Your wall wears your pants and tees since like last year already. You still haven’t managed to have them all washed and stuffed in your closet where the rats are taking the advantage of partying the free spaces.

Rats. Rats to those family of rats! You thought you only got two of them in your crib? Uh uh? You will never know until another rat runs along the sink after you already dispose those fly papers of overcrowded stuck squeaking rats.

Rats to yourself! Why were you absent on last saturday’s class? Because you woke up late? Because you slept late? Because you are insomniac? Because you love coffee? Because it’s all because? How ironic, you did not skip classes last trimester when you still had your full time job.

And finally, why did you not update this page? Are you tired already?

… is now more of an obnoxious excuse of the “Pls. improve punctuality” comment you got from your superior. Hahaha! I know I am a bad example, but really, I think I deserve a flexible time/schedule. Hahaha! More excuses… I know…

Ok, ok! So be it! Seriously. From the innermost chamber of my broken heart, I should not feel weak to accept my defeat to this lame battle of waking up in the morning. *Sigh*

Starbucks 2009 Planner

To almost all Pinoy Starbucks planner fans, this one for next year may not be that impressive compared to last year’s. But, being a first time collector of this, their reactions do not matter to me. It still looks nice, feels sturdy, and the thickness of the leaves is notable, as what others said that the former was thin.

So there, I got a red one last Sunday. Earlier than I ever expected.

… was the reply of the mall security guard after I asked him the location of the Smart Wireless Center. From what I can recall, during my college years, the Smart Wireless was situated in front of the mall entrance to the Metro Ayala department store.

My SmartBro due is not yet paid. I hope my Internet will not be disconnected.

I was supposed to organize a costume party on Halloween Eve; a night to celebrate with colleagues who were so extremely excited with their angelic costumes and their already-demonic faces. With regards to my planned persona during that supposed event, I would want to be a “taong-grasa” (vagrant), which is, of course, not so challenging, considering my nearest stature to the low caste.

The vagrancy effect somehow stuck on the very night of the supposed party that burnt to ashes after the candle wept under the flames of Halloween. I was waiting almost in vain for some of my friends to come over at my crib. Half of my sanity was convinced that nothing a ghost of them would arrive. So, I persisted myself to linger unto random playlists of skipped music. The song intervals became deranged noises of the still-early night.

Suddenly, a vibration, along with the Standard message tone of a Nokia phone, alerted me that a visitor accepted my invitation for a drinking spree. I was not ready, yet. Even after 5 others came.

Since I have nothing much to offer, except for a bottle of chilled vodka, I decided to buy something for pulutan that is enough to sustain our drunkenness throughout the night. Until to the last drop of alcohol.

We were, then, in search for lechon manok (roasted chicken). We strolled along the sleepy streets of the metropolis with a feeling of alienation, finding something new and familiar in every edifice, besides the sidewalk. We then headed to the country’s oldest street, which is still busy at its heart, but we only found chickens that are only grilled in parts.

Our quest finally ended at the Carbon market, where the trade of a variety of fresh produce does not end.

Back at the apartment, the vodka was still waiting for us, now accompanied by 5 big bottles of Red Horse beer, kicking. We were kind of kicking for shots, too.

A couple of shots were too hot to partake anymore. So then, I concocted my own experimental mango vodka shake to dilute the alcohol concentrate, at least. And that is equivalent to more shots. And the more the shots, the more I forgot about the party and even the Halloween.

With a devilish grin, I took another shot.

I just came from a meet-up/fellowship event with the Digital Filipino Club members and Cebu bloggers at the Teatro Casino of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino. To note, it was my first time to be in a gathering where all the attendees are new faces (except, of course, Ms Janette Toral, whom I am thankful for gracing the event and having me on the guest list).

The event got me to new realizations in a much more higher stature, as far as blogging and online communities are concerned. Usually when I happen to encounter blogs, websites, and social networks, I just only see the pictures and texts in diverse layouts like the way I read my weekend newspaper.

But tonight, it was surprising to see the people (not bots!) behind some of those established websites like mynimo.com and istorya.com.

I admit my exposure to websites and blogs are mostly international, and my blogroll would somehow testify that. So, almost all personal sites being introduced were very much new to me, except for gervacio.wordpress.com, which rang a bell when he introduced his. I think batang buotan once stumbled here already, but he did not remember when I asked him that night. Hehe!

I also got the chance to meet with a new blogging society, the Cebu Bloggers Society, who were very visible on their “Blogger Ko Bai”-imprinted shirt, along with a very impressive guitar-inspired logo. That said, I bought one for myself even if I am not part of the gang. Yet?

Well, because their sites were all not familiar to me. I had to do a little googling.
