Spoilers

I am supposed to attend our informal high school reunion (which I and my classmates planned more than three months ago) today but the last day of September got me chained in the office.

This coming Saturday is also the supposed day-off but, unfortunately, it was moved earlier. And that is tomorrow. Our out-of-town trips are immediately cancelled. Goodbye Bantayan, Camotes, and Kawasan! Bummer!

“All work and no play made Jack a dull boy.”

Ahm, anyway, I am not Jack!

“Anthem of His Dying Day”

A boxing match (mostly international) has grown to be more exciting and entertaining. Aside from the duel of the pair of red gloves, nationalistic pride commences every boxing event with the vocal rendition of each boxer’s national anthem, generously sung by professionals like that in a grandiose singing contest. In every tournament, the boxers are not the only people in constant training; those singers, too, rehearse and vocalize for that few minutes of international fame, and sometimes, shame.

It’s really a shame if you dont meet people’s expections because you just failed to reach the notes a fret higher (maybe because you were so shaky before the international crowd). Worse thing can happen, too, when Alzheimer’s steal your memory, resulting you to jump off to the last line of the song to end that invasion happening in your grey matter.

I think Christian Bautista, Asia’s Pop Idol, got goosebumps and was horrified after his rendition of the Philippine National Anthem at an exhibition match between Gerry Penalosa and Bernabe Concepcion. How could he have murdered the last two lines of the Lupang Hinirang? Filipinos may understand his explanations and excuses but the shame is already done. LOL! And I cant help it to LMAO.

For you, pinoys, here’s the national anthem for your review.

Offline

The last of my energy was a real waste. Push-carting is never fun when you’re hungry and tired from all day’s work. Worst is when you found out that you have no more cash left in your pocket (because you dont carry a wallet) and your only savior is that only card which grants you access to an imaginary banker. Okay, so then I paid with my card only to find out that the cashier declined my transaction. “Offline, sir.”

I tried to withdraw cash from the nearby machine. I thought that it was the better solution but later I knew, another misfortune was in front of me. No cash was released but I got debited for two grand. *Inserts favorite swearing word here*

I realized bringing cards (be it credit or debit cards) sometimes is a pain in the ass. We are so believing about the banks’ hassle-free-shopping ads, their network of ATM machines across the country and their interconnective transactions from other banks. Well, there is always a con to everything and in banking cases: being offline.

Britney: From Sweetie to Hottie and to Yuckie

Britney. Image from Yahoo! The comeback of Britney Spears to the music scene was a total nightmare for most of her fans; haters may find it obnoxious. If she couldn’t give a nice performance (which she is infamous of), she should not have appeared in the VMA. Or maybe, she just rendered a plain song of lullaby so everyone might fall asleep and forgot her downfall moment. Her kids can be the excuse of her new figure. But she just looks dull and unrehearsed in her performance.

I did not bother to see her entire performance because I was so nauseated at first sight with her VMA pics on Yahoo! Look at that flab! Belo and Calayan will be so happy to dispatch those fats for FREE.

Poor Britney! Well, she can always sing “Gimme More” for fan’s support. Harhar!

Have Faith

♣ The main reason why an employee leaves his company is because he looses faith with his superior.

» That was the answer to the last question before our management meeting adjourned.

» He has a point. I’ve known a lot of people who left the company with the same reason.

» But salary is one of the basis, too. No matter how good the relationship between the boss and the subordinates, others will think for a good pay.

» Same as religion, if you lose faith… Hmm. I don’t have to expound…
